UKON Cylinder Engine Block
The brand new ‘Team UKON’ knife block features 5 stainless steel cylinders made from the finest 18/10 material. The set includes a GU-01 Chef’s knife, GU-03 Bread knife, GUM-10 Vegetable knife, GUF-32 Utility knife and GUF-30 Paring knife.
This set contains the Global Ukon GU-01 Chef’s knife 21cm, this is a versatile all-purpose blade that is great for chopping vegetables, meat, fish, slicing and dicing. Whatever the task this Chef’s knife will perform every time. The second piece is the Ukon GU-03 Bread knife 22cm. The Ukon GU-03 Bread knife has a long, serrated blade, perfect for slicing through thick crusty bread loaves and soft bread rolls. The serrated blade is also perfect for slicing soft fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, the blade glides into the delicate skin, preventing you from crushing the juicy inner layer, leaving a nice clean finish. The next blade is the Ukon GUM-10 Vegetable knife also known as a “Nakiri” which is a Japanese square-tipped knife created almost exclusively for prepping vegetables. The flat parts of the blade are designed to chop and slice through vegetables with precision and ease. Next comes the Global Ukon GUF-30 Paring knife which is a must-have tool for any professional chef. It can be used for a wide variety of kitchen tasks from simple slicing and light peeling to skilled intricate work. The small, forged blade makes the knife extremely robust and great for hand peeling, precision cuts and garnishing. It is also useful for deveining shrimp or removing seeds. The final piece is the Ukon GUF-32 Utility knife. This comes from the collection of drop forged knives, the handle sits on the tang of the blade creating a knife that is heavier and more durable than its G and GS series counterparts. They make excellent knives for professional chefs.
